Edwarda McIntyre Obituary

Edwarda "Lala" McIntyre, age 63, of Pensacola, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Baptist Medical Center, Pensacola, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of John McIntyre, Pensacola, Fla.
Edwarda was born in Carlsbad, N.M., on Jan. 27, 1950, and grew up in Carlsbad. She was the daughter of the late Octavio and Manuela Madrid and was also preceded by her brother, Toby Madrid.
Edwarda worked at the Baptist Medical Center for 27 years, where she had countless friends before she retired in 2012. Besides her husband, John, Edwarda leaves her sons: Mark of Pensacola, Fla., Lyle McIntyre and wife, Misty of Yuma, Ariz., and John McIntyre and wife, Melanie of Orange Park, Fla.; and her sisters: Belen Gallegos and husband, Andrew of Carlsbad, N.M., Delma Madrid of Carlsbad, N.M., Grace Franco and husband, Jose of Edmonds, Wash., and Nora Petersen and husband, Brian of Snohomish, Wash.; and her sister-in-law, Alicia Madrid of Carlsbad, N.M. Edwarda also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Caitlyn, Marrissa, Gage, Bradley, Reyna and Jonathan; as well as numerous relatives and close friends.
Edwarda was an incredible woman and loved spending time with her family and friends.
At Edwarda's request, the funeral was a private event for immediate family only.
