Natividad "Nati" Martinez Obituary
Funeral services for Natividad "Nati" Martinez, 49, of S. Olive St. will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the West Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Tony Dominguez of San Jose Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Catarina Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday and continue up to the start of the Prayer service at 7 p.m. (Fri.) at West Funeral Home. Nati passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at her home.
Natividad "Nati" Matta Martinez was born to Arturo and Hortencia Lopez Matta on October 23, 1968 in Carlsbad, NM where she remained a lifelong resident.
Jose and Nati Martinez married 17 years ago. She was employed as a cook and baker on and off throughout her life.
Nati enjoyed baking, cooking and doing Southwestern ceramics and was known for her famous "Nati Burritos"!
She is preceded in death by her brother David L. Matta.
Nati is survived by her husband Jose Martinez, daughter Josephina Martinez and son Antonio Martinez, all of the family home, her parents Art and Hortencia Matta, sister Beatrice Matta (Richard) and nephews: Angel, Mikey, Matthew and Issac Matta, Maximus Quetawki and Richie Rodriguez, as well as her very best friend Richard Boyd.
Pallbearers will be Angel, Mikey and Matthew Matta, Maximus Quetawki, Richie Rodriguez and Phillip Smead and Honorary Pallbearer Richard Boyd. Services have been entrusted to West Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at westfuneralhomellc.com
