Marshall Nichols Sr., 86, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.
He was born in Harrison County on Feb. 25, 1932 to the late Shelby Isaac and Ida Elizabeth Florence Nichols, and is preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Deane Whirles Nichols; 10 brothers, one sister, and a grandson, Jason Nichols.
He is survived by two sons, Marshall (Mary) Nichols Jr. and Dana Dean (Sandy) Nichols, both of Berry; two daughters, Bobbie Sue (Richard Phillips) Bickers of Cynthiana, and Vickie Jo (Victor) Cantu of Berry; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. at Ware Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Hemphill officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be at Battle Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Richie, Jonathan Spencer, Zach Nichols, Justin Nichols, Mike Nichols, Eric Ashcraft, Scotty Collier, Gene Blanton.
Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, great-grandkids, Victor Cantu, Buddy Wainscott, Susie Snapp, and Billy McNees.
