Charles "Buster" Orville Pugh, 94, Cynthiana, died Friday, March 9, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Lawrence, Indiana, Sept. 20, 1923 to the late Charles Orville Pugh Sr. and Emma Agnes Rawlings Pugh. He enlisted in the United Stated Army in 1942 as a member of the Army Air Corps and then opted to transition into the United States Air Force after World War II where he achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4 before retiring his military career in 1970, and was a 70 year Mason.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Shimfessel Pugh; a son, David Charles Pugh; four brothers; five sisters; and a special cat, Condoleezza Marie Rice.
He is survived by three daughters, Amy Carol Pugh Boohaker, Janet Louise (Donald Hardwick) Pugh, Beverly Ellen (Darrell) Pugh Geist; a brother; a sister, Vilma "Jay" Murphy; two grandchildren, Beverly Ellen Pugh and Audrey Carol Pugh; and a special cat, Smokey.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 16 at 1 p.m. at Ware Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion, 111 Mount Joy St., Falmouth, KY 41040.
