Marjorie Bruce Holland, 98, a former resident of Dallas and Midland, passed away on November 25th in Ridgefield, CT.

She is survived by sons George T. Holland, Jr., of Tyler TX, and John Bruce Holland of Spring TX, and daughter Leann Holland Schumann of Ridgefield; five grandchildren, Jonathan Schumann of New York City, Matthew Schumann of Vancouver, British Columbia, Garrett Schumann of Ypsilanti Ml, Rachael Holland of New York City, and Elizabeth Suhr of Houston, as well as in laws Mark Schumann of Ridgefield, Mary Endres of Tyler, and Jeni1/2e Holland of Spring.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Memory Park Cemetery in Longview, Texas with Dr. Richard Emerson officiating. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 1 pm, at Northway Christian Church, Dallas TX.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Regional Hospice of Danbury Connecticut, Juliette Fowler Communities of Dallas or a charity of choice. Online condolences may be left at

I so loved visiting with Ms Holland when she came to our dental office, she was such a kind woman, always in a great mood. She will be missed!!

My thoughts and prayers are with Leann, Bruce & George and their family's. She was so special to me when I was growing up on B steeet, a wonderful example & role model for all who knew her. Bless all of you, she will be missed by so many. Hugs, Julie

Mrs Holland was a Beautiful Lady!!! She made the BEST gingerbread men and homemade bread! She was such a strong and loving neighborhood mom and will be greatly missed!
