Jeanne M. Essex, age 50, of Paw Paw, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL.

She was born on March 2, 1967 in Naperville, IL, the daughter of William and Joan (Lorenz) Culbertson.

Jeanne was united in marriage on July 11, 1987 to Glenn A. Essex and spent the next 30 happy years of their lives together. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University in May of 2017 having earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She was employed as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice Provost for Academic Planning & Development at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Essex of Paw Paw, IL; her children, Glenn Essex Jr. of DeKalb, IL, Joseph Essex of Paw Paw, IL, Kaitlyn Essex of Malta, IL, and Jonathan Essex of Paw Paw, IL; her father, William Culbertson of Lisle, IL; her brother, Richard (Sharon) Culbertson of Scottsdale, AZ; her sisters, Joan (Gus) Georges of Chandler, AZ, Kathryn (Lawrence) Holubetz of Downers Grove, IL, and Janet Kosatka of Lisle, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Culbertson on July 10, 2017.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 E. Garfield, Waterman, IL. Interment will be private.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Waterman, IL.
