I just learned of Richard's passing yesterday. He and I worked together for many years at El Paso until my retirement in 2003. He continued to visit me here at the ranch on the Sims Mesa highway. We would talk about family, life, El Paso and retirement.
I wll miss his visits and calls to see how I'm doing.
One thing that amazed me about Richard was that he knew so many people and he kept track of them.
Our sincerest condolences to the family and we will keep you in our prayers.

I worked with Richard out in the field some, years ago. He was always positive and worked hard at his task. Sad to hear of his passing away! I wish all his friends and family the best. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. You'll be missed, Richard!

IT WAS WITH GREAT SADNESS TO HEAR OF RICHARDS PASSING. I REMEMBER SO CLEARLY HIM TEACHING ANGELA HOW TO PURCHASE A CAR AND HOW KIND HE WAS AT THAT TIME. MANY YEARS HAVE PASSED BUT THE FAMILY STILL IS IN MY THOUGHTS. RICHARD YOU CAN NOW REST AS YOU ARE IN THE ARMS OF YOUR FOLKS AND ANGELA AGAIN. WITH WARM REGARDS TO THE FAMILY I POST THIS.

Just came across this and wanted to post..
God looked around his garden
and found an empty space
He looked down upon the earth
and saw your tired face
he put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest
God's garden must be
beautiful
for he only takes the best

It is often hard and difficult to express how one feels in a time of loss...When I was told of my Uncle Richard's Passing I was devasted, I fell to my knees and dropped my phone. This was something that I just couldnt comprehend. I still am wishing I would wake up and this would all be just a dream. However the harsh reality is setting in when I read his obituary. Its real. Though I should be rejoiced he is now in the hands of our creator, Our father the heavenly lord. I just wanted to say Uncle Dick you were truelly a great person, a great father and great uncle to have you always brought so much life to the party. You have always reminded me of chevy chase...And as a kid i always saw you, Uncle Eddie and my father as the Three amigos. That was a great movie. Thank you Uncle for being such a great inspiration in all of OUR lives.

We remember the times we were together and the smiles you put on our faces. Especially remember your story about "daddy long legs". Know you will be missed by all your loved ones, but the ones who went before you are greeting you with open arms.
