Andrew Armstrong Anderson, 70, of Farmington, passed away on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, in Farmington. He was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Nageezi, to John and Marie Armstrong. He was born to Noodaí Diné and born for Bitaaní.
Andrew was preceded in death by his son, Emerson Andy Anderson; his parents, John and Marie Valdez Armstrong; and his brothers, Kee Armstrong, Paul Armstrong and Alfred Armstrong.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Begay Anderson; son, Elbert Anderson Sr.; daughters, Annabelle Anderson and Laura J. Anderson; brother, Albert Armstrong; sisters, Sarah Armstrong, Alice Etcitty, Frances Ignacio, Isabelle Armstrong and Esther Frank; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Dzilth-na-o-dith-hle Bible Church, with the Rev. Ben Stoner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Brethren in Christ Mission Cemetery in Otis.
A reception will follow burial at the church.
Pallbearers are Brian W. Begay, Alvin Armstrong, Calvin Nez, Phillip Frank, Billy Begay Jr. and Cornelius White.
