Jerry White, 79, of Upper Fruitland, passed from this life on Friday, July 12, 2013. He was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Fruitland.
He was the son of the late Tom White and Glih-yil-nah-nih-bah. He worked as a farmer, and in construction as a block layer.
He is survived by his son, Gerard K. White; daughters, Hazel Belin and Geraldine White and Phoebe Curtis and Erma Sam and Leta Tso; brother, Paul White; sister Katy Yazzie and 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian White; parents, Tom White and Glih-yil-nah-nih-bah; sons, Kurt A. White, Winston White and Baby Boy White; step-daughter, Barbara Ann Johnson; brother, Harold White and Tom Harry; sisters, Mary White Cly and Rena White Bekis; granddaugher, Yolanda Harrison; step-son, Jonathan Sam.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Dineh Christian Center in Shiprock. Interment will follow at the Rose Garden in Fruitland.
Jerry is in care of Desert View Funeral Home, N. U.S. Highway 491 in Shiprock, 505-368-4607.
