George Wero, 75, of Bloomfield, passed from this life Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Albuquerque. He was born Feb. 10, 1938 in Carson.
George embraced Christianity in 1982 and loved and lived for the Lord. George worked for Process Equipment Service Company (Pesco) as a Foreman. After retiring he devoted his life to the Lord and his family. George was Pastor of the Light of Life Mennonite Church in Farmington for many years and retired as Pastor in April 2012 but remained active in spreading God's Word to local churches and especially on the Navajo Nation. George was also a United States Army Veteran and was Chaplin for the Veterans Group in Carson.
George leaves behind his wife, Priscilla Mae (Benally); daughters, Georgina Kaamasee (Darrell), Dulcy Sanchez (Max D.) and Sabrina Wero; five grandchildren, Tanita Danielle, Tatiana, Shai (Jerome Hoskie), Seanathan Jack George Darrell Kaamasee, Leopoldo George Lobato and Anthony Jebadiah Wero; brothers, Sam (Dorothy), Steven (Jane); sisters, Mabel White and Diana Jackson. He also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces.
George was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Wero in 2010; parents, John and Mary Wero( Á-tsoee- Bah); his sisters, Alice Taylor, Betty and Mary W. White.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Monday, March 18, at the First Baptist Church-Worship Center in Bloomfield.
Interment will be at the Saint Luke's Episcopal Cemetery in Carson.
George is in the care of Desert View Funeral Home, N. US Hwy 491, in Shiprock 505-368-4607.

George was a talented fabricator. He has did some work for me while i lived near. So sorry to hear of George's passing. He is now @ a happy place. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Wero family.....
