Joe O. Sanchez Obituary
Joe O. Sanchez, 88 of Aztec, New Mexico passed away peacefully on August 8, 2018. He was born in Hernandez, New Mexico to Reginaldo and Acencion Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Candelaria Sanchez, brother's Samuel Sanchez and Maclovio Sanchez, great grandson Christopher Canon. He was survived by his children Andy Sanchez (Phylis), Catherine "Cat" Carver, Debbie Dillashaw and Barbara Sanchez (Peter). His Brother's Cornelio Sanchez and Joe R. Sanchez and sister Georgia Moreno; Niece: Antonette Folwer; Grandchildren: Stephani Manzanares (Jesse), Kim Canon (Chris), Sarah and Calib Sanchez. Great grandchildren: Jessica Valdez, Kody Kerschion, Daniel Trujillo, Ky and Kaly Manzaneres, Joshua Kerschion, Elora Mull, John Sanchez, Kamryn Canon, Christian Canon; Camila and Miguel Dominguez. Great-great grandchildren: Lexi Padilla, Mya Basler, Grayson Kerschion.
Joe was Korean War Veteran and was a professional Barber for 58 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, calling Bingo for over 30 years and a member of Aztec Lion's Club. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and attending/ supporting local sporting events. Joe was a warm-hearted, patient and kind man. He had a generous, loving heart who loved his community, customers and friends. He will never be forgotten in our memories and will forever be in our hearts.
Honorary Pall Bearers: Joe Gomez, Ralph Craig, Louie Sandoval, Albert Velarde, Richard Nixon, Sylvanio Martinez, and Tom Ruybalid.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church , Aztec,NM on August 14, 2018. A Rosary prayer will precede the mass at 10:00 am located 500 N. Mesa Verde Ave, Aztec. The burial date will be determined at a later time at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
