Kathy was my cousin. My sister & I used to baby-sit for her when she was little. She was adorable. She kept in touch with us and we will miss her very much.

Today I learned of the unfortunate and untimely death of my friend Kathy. There are no words to describe the shock I am feeling right now and I can not imagine the sorrow that has been thrust upon her family.
I worked with Kathy for many years at Centinela Hospital. I was the new, young, blonde, knowing nothing orthopedic nurse director. Kathy was sure about me at first... (she laughs)... but in time I won her over. Kathy became my mentor, confidant and ultimately a good friend.
Kathy's passion, advocacy and empathy for all living creatures was like no other. She was an amazing individual and I am blessed to have known her. My prayers and thoughts are with you and yours.
