Anna Zar
Our dear mother, Anna Zar, went home to the Lord on February 13, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born to Nazarijo and Danica Krajac in St. Louis, Missouri on December 20, 1916. The family moved to San Pedro in 1923. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Klemento Zar in 2007; her sister, Phyllis Rodin, and grandson, George K. Bosnich. Anna was a homemaker supreme, a wonderful wife, devoted and caring mother and grandmother and a devout Catholic. She was a totally selfless woman, always putting her family first, a true lady in every way. Mom will be forever missed and leaves a legacy of love to her surviving daughters, Josephine (George) Bosnich and Dianne (Jerry) Kaloper; grandchildren, Mary Ann (Joe) Voss, Joe (Sandra) Bosnich, Andy (Krisi) Bosnich, Ann Marie (Michael) Morris, Deborah Kaloper, Jerry Kaloper, Kathy Kaloper, and Tony Kaloper; 16 great-grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Krajac, Vera Krajac and Esther Tomich; sisters-in-law, Mary Kunich Zar and Mary Mosich Zar and numerous nieces and nephews. Our thanks and gratitude to her loving friends and care givers, Nicanori, Arreola and Edna Santos. Visitation will be Monday, February 20 at McNerney's Mortuary at 5:00pm with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral services will be held at Mary Star of the Sea Church on Tuesday, February 21 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to your favorite charity.
