Daniel Edward Lyons of San Francisco, CA, passed away on July 4th, 2015. Dan was born in Chicago, IL on March 4, 1956. After moving to Palos Verdes Estates in 1971, Dan moved to San Francisco and kept residence there for the past 30 years. Dan loved the City and took joy in calling it his home. He was a friend to many and a supporter of all. Those who love him have described him as smart, a best friend, closest friend, a creative and artistic spirit, and a loving kind soul. Dan is survived by his two siblings; Bernard Edward Lyons Jr. and Mary (Lyons) Lane, his sister-in-law; Nancy Campbell Lyons, his brother-in-law; Scott Lane, his three nieces; Lindsay, Emma and Therese, two nephews; Jamie and Kyle and his aunt Maureen Lyons. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Edward Lyons Sr. and Margaret Sappanos Lyons. Dan was a member of the St. Paulus Lutheran Church in SF and took great pride in being a member of the church choir. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the following; Center at Blessed Sacrament, 6636 Selma Ave., Hollywood, CA 90028, The Delancey Street Foundation, 600 Embarcadero SF, CA 94107 or St. Paulus Lutheran Church, 1541 Polk St., SF, CA 94109.
