Adelard David (Ed) DuBois

Adelard David DuBois, 94, of Gardena California died October 21, 2014. "Ed" DuBois, son of Alfred and Ethel DuBois, loving husband of Graciela DuBois and deceased Geraldine DuBois, passed away quietly in his sleep on October 21st at his home in Gardena, CA. He is survived by his wife, Graciela; brother, Raymond and Teresa DuBois; son, Gary and Rosie DuBois; daughters, Michelle DuBois, and Leslie and Todd Hall. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren living in the southern California area and Wisconsin and the Dominguez Family of Gardena. Ed DuBois was born and raised in Worster Massachusetts. In his youth, he was an avid sportsman and enjoyed playing baseball, football, ice hockey and spending time at the local lakes, where he worked as a lifeguard. Ed served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, where he met his wife, Geraldine, at the USO. They married in 1946 and soon moved to Southern California, later settling in Gardena, where they raised their three children. After Geraldine passed away in 1980, Ed met and married Graciela. Ed worked as a mechanical draftsman for Martin Marietta and Mobil Oil until his retirement in 1988. He loved traveling with Graciela, spending time at the VFW, the Gardena Senior Center and as a senior volunteer. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held this Monday, October 27, 2014 in the Green Hills funeral home in Rancho Palos Verdes at 1 pm. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
