Anna (Machado) Svicarevich Obituary
Anna (Machado) Svicarevich
March 4, 1925 - October 27, 2015

Anna was born to Eduardo Gurrola and Dolores Machado on March 4,1925 in San Pedro, CA. She graduated from SPHS, and worked for a time at TODD Shipyard during WWII. Anna met Anton Svicarevich, who she went on to marry, at the Dalmation American Club. Their union lasted 18 years, and produced Anthony and Nicholas, who preceded her in death. Her brothers Edward and William also predeceased her. Anna is survived by her brother, John Machado; daughter-in-laws, Janice Svicarevich and Christine Licari; grandchildren, Michael Wainwright, Susan Remington, Nicole (Dave) Valdez, Jack and Carrie Svicarevich; 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind many friends and neighbors. Anna loved to go to the horse races and Las Vegas and spent much of her time babysitting her grandchildren and other children.
Anna's wishes were that she be cremated with her ashes scattered at sea, no services. If you would like to donate in her name to any cat rescue organization it would be okay by her, because she loved cats, and always signed her cards "Nana Cat" or "Anna Cat".
