Anthony Carl Cuciti Obituary
Anthony Carl Cuciti

Anthony Carl Cuciti, 93, passed from this life on 3 September 2015, with his family around him. As a young man, Tony thought that if he grew up to marry a good woman, buy a house and have a little change to jingle in his pocket, he'd feel he'd really made it. He far surpassed those modest aspirations. He was married to the love of his life, Amalia (Hudson), for 63 years, until her death in 2008. He and Amy raised 6 children to whom they gave solid values, good educations and role models to be proud of.

He served his country beginning with WWII. His first service was as a Merchant Marine Cadet, then as a Marine Engineer aboard Navy ships and later as an Army officer. He and his family traveled the world during his 23 years in the Military. After he retired, he settled in San Pedro and taught 5th and 6th graders. In both his private and professional lives Tony touched many young lives.

Tony is survived by his sister, Carmela Pisani; his 6 children, Charles (Madeleine) Cuciti, Kathryn (James) Hammel, J. Michael (Janice) Cuciti, Anne Moen, Denise Huddleston and Theresa (Agostino) Onorato; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

The memorial Mass will be held at the Fort MacArthur base chapel at 1 p.m. on Saturday, 19 September 2015. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Wounded Warriors or the Merchant Marine Academy at King's Point. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
