Ardis E. Scotti passed away at home on January 30, 2013, surrounded by her husband and children after a year-long fight with cancer. Ardis was born in Hawaii on September 2, 1945, and later moved to San Pedro, California as a young girl. Ardis was a devoted wife and mother. She was an active member of Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in San Pedro, CA. She touched many lives through ministry and fellowship there. After moving to Santa Maria she became a member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church. Ardis started and participated in many ministries such as Magnificat, Women of Grace, and Lectio Divina. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and Catechist. Ardis is survived by her husband, Joe Scotti and mother to Angela Scotti, Scott Brackett and his wife Kellie Brackett, as well as grandmother to Shawn, Samantha, and Alexis Brackett. She also leaves behind her brother, Ernest Carreira, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chris and Julie Scotti of El Monte, CA. A Funeral Mass for Ardis will take place at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. The burial for Ardis will take place at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, on Thursday, February 7, 2013, with the Graveside Committal Service beginning at 2:00 P.M.
