1914 - 2010 Obituary Condolences
Arlie O. Hall was born in Malvern, Arkansas on June 10, 1914 to Jonathan Hall and Fannie Grigsby Hall. Mr. Hall passed away on August 26, 2010 in Reedley, California at Palm Village Retirement Center where he received excellent loving care. On December 5, 1931, he married Murtie Sellers in Arkansas. Together they had seven children: Vera Adams (deceased), Carl (Christine) Hall of Corning, California, Margaret Hall (deceased), Carolyn (Jack) Pedro of Dinuba, California, Marilyn (Al) Ott of LaGrange, Indiana, Joyce (Ross) Pettit of Layton, Utah, and Linda (George) May of Paso Robles, California. Mr. Hall was a twin to Carlie O. Hall. They won many awards for being the most handsome twins in their age group at the twins convention through the 1950s. Mr. Hall was born the 8th of 10 children, all who preceded him in death. Moving from Arkansas to California in 1941, he worked during the war at Todd Shipyard, where he was foreman. He belonged to Local 802 of Wilmington for approximately 62 years. His wife, Murtie passed away in December 1961. In 1969, he married MayBelle Boman, who preceded him in death in 2006. Arlie is survived by his children, numerous grandchildren, great-great-great and great-great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Hall will be September 2, 2010 at A.M. Gamby Funeral Home in Lomita at 3:00 p.m. Graveside services to be held at Green Hills Cemetery. Service conducted by Calvary Chapel Pastor Stef Mitrano. Pallbearers: (honorary) Carl Hall, Jack Pedro, Al Ott, George May, Ross Pettit, Beaver Langley and Sergeant Cody Mills.
