Barbara Jean Lincks Obituary
Barbara Jean Lincks

June 30, 1944 - April 26 2012

Barbara was born in Dallas, Texas to James R. and Doris L. Fluent. She was the younger sister of Carl Fluent. She is survived by her only child, Cindy Summers, and her loving husband of 27 years, Ron Lincks. She moved to California with her family when she was a small child and attended school in Inglewood, graduating from Morningside High School. Barbara worked for Merle Norman Cosmetics as a lead person in the warehouse, where she retired after 37 years. During her working career at MN, she was awarded many gifts for having 17 years of perfect attendance. She touched many lives with her generosity, warm smile, laugh and sense of humor. Barbara loved helping and mentoring her "young people" at work so they would succeed. She was well known for her great love and compassion for all animals, and she rescued many unwanted dogs throughout her life. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on May 26, 2012 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm at Tony P's Restaurant, 4445 Admiralty Way, Marina Del Rey, CA. Casual attire. Dallas Cowboy clothing strongly encouraged (her favorite team). Contributions to help arrange for a memorial plaque at Redondo Beach Dog Park where Barbara and Ron had good times and made many good friends along with their two "babies", Tiny and Nunu. She will be greatly missed by her family and all of her friends, but we know that she is now one of the angels that she dearly loved and believed in.
