Dear Penny and Nicky's whole family,
I was so saddened to hear that dear Nicky has left us! Since our own mom went to the great paddle tennis court in the sky, Suz and I had hoped to track down her "twin" last Friday to help her celebrate her birthday.
I'm stunned that both our wonderful mothers didn't make it to their 90th birthdays. Two great gals and pals born on the very same day! They were so full of life and full of surprises.
I remember my mother sending me to Enid's house to fill in on a paddle tennis day about 10 years ago. I said, "sure." I mean, how tough could it be batting balls with a bunch of 80 year olds? Boy, your mom and the other ladies ran me ragged all over the court. I never filled in for Mom again! I miss them both.
Please call me or shoot me an email with your contact info. I'd love to stay in touch with you. My number might be in your mom's address book or "PT" roster or at least my mom's number should be. We can still retrieve messages from my mom's old line. Otherwise, R. Babbe knows how to reach me.
Take care of yourself. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the privilege of knowing your mother for a few short months during her stay at the Canterbury where I volunteer. She was a lovely, lovely woman who always said "Yes please" and "thank you". She always managed a smile. I will miss seeing her on Mondays.
I am so sorry for your loss.
