Bellia "Bee" Oughton

Bee Oughton, a 50 year resident of Palos Verdes and Redondo Beach, passed away on Saturday, September 26, after a long struggle with pulmonary issues. She was 82 years old.

Born on February 9, 1933 in Los Angeles to John and Margaret Doukas, Bee grew up in Inglewood and attended Inglewood and Washington High Schools.

Bee was married on March 7, 1954 to the love of her life, William F. Oughton. Together they raised 6 children and were very involved with the Lion's Club. Bee was well known in many crafting circles including doll making, miniatures, sewing, and cake decorating. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed watching golf, tennis, and college football on TV.

Bee is survived by her children Margaret (Gene) Myers of Palm Springs, Katie (Roy-deceased) Frym of Fullerton, Mary (Greg) Argenas of Charlotte, NC, Bea (Greg) Osborne of Palos Verdes, and Artie (Elizabeth) Oughton of San Diego; 6 Grandchildren - Hali Oughton (Providence, RI), Jenna Osborne, Gregory Osborne, Julia Osborne (Palos Verdes), Olivia Argenas and Cristina Argenas (Charlotte, NC). Nephews John Doukas, Mike Doukas, and Niece, Helen Stuehler and Nephew John (Kenda) Williams. Bee is pre-deceased by her husband William, her son, Bill, Jr., parents John and Margaret Doukas, brothers Art Pease and John Doukas, and sister, Christina Williams.

A celebration of Bee's life will be held on Thursday, October 1, at 11 a.m. at Pacific Crest Cemetary Chapel 2701 182nd Street, Redondo Beach, CA 90278

The family would like to thank all those who loved and cared for Bee at Providence Little Company of Mary Sub-Acute Care in San Pedro.
