After a noble battle with cancer, Beverly Lou Madsen, a 57 year resident of Lomita, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at her home in Lomita. Beverly, born in Spokane WA on November 11, 1933, was 77 when she died. She and her two sisters, Donna (deceased) and Bonnie had a great life together. Beverly was a member of several groups made up of wonderful people who touched her life in so many wonderful ways - our hearts go out to all of you as well. Beverly and her husband, Lewis, attended Sea Coast Baptist Church in Redondo Beach and she also attended the Hope Chapel in Hawthorne. A Godly woman and true believer…We all know that she is in the arms of our Savior today. Beverly was not only a loving wife, mother and grandmother; she was a woman of many accomplishments. Born to dance, she rose to the level in her passion of ballet to dance with the San Francisco Ballet. She was famous for her high leaps and beautiful lines. The real love of her life was her family. Her sisters, wonderful husband, Lew, children and grandchildren were the lights of her life. Generous and loving, she made us all feel special. We will miss her laugh and the sparkle in her eye - we love you, Mom! Beverly is survived by husband, Lewis Madsen of Lomita, CA; son, Robert (Janell) Madsen of Visalia, CA; daughter, Rochelle (Ralph) Lilly; grandchildren, Matthew and Hannah, of Redondo Beach, CA; and son, Lloyd (Tanja) Madsen, grandson, Blake, of Lomita, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Robert Bruce. The Memorial Service will be held at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM with a reception, at this same location, immediately following in Rice's Reception room from 3:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M.
