Charles (Chuck) A. Lehrmann

Charles (Chuck) A. Lehrmann, a long-time resident of Torrance, California, passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2017. He was 84 years old. Chuck was born in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 4th, 1932 to Gustave and Rose Lehrmann, both of whom predeceased him.
Chuck graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1953. He entered into the Army soon after and upon his discharge, moved to sunny Califonria where his long teaching career began. Chuck taught elementary school for over 35 years in the Redondo Beach School District. He taught at both Patterson Elementary and Tulita School, where he changed the lives of many of his students. He was a beloved teacher and co-worker that cared greatly for the well being and development of his students. Teaching was his passion and he was one of the greatest.
Chuck was also an avid tennis player. He was one of the original members of the Palos Verdes Tennis Club when it opened in 1963. He also enjoyed bike riding, his stamp and coin collection and spending time with his grandchildren.
Chuck is survived by his daughter, Trish Jones, grandsons Jonah and Owen Jones, brother and sister in law Robert and Nancy Lehrmann and nephews Jeff and Scott Lehrmann.
A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Redondo Beach, CA, on February 17th at 11am, 2017. Burial will take place in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those who want to honor Cuck's memory may make a donation to the KIM Ministry at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Redondo Beach, California.
