Chris Naeem Nanji Obituary
Nanji, Chris Naeem
Of Palos Verdes Estates. Born and raised in Pakistan, Chris traveled to the United States, a young man ready to make his mark on the world. Living intensely and embodying the American dream, Chris had no time for mediocrity and reveled in the experience of creating excellence. His drive for understanding and living a life in-the-know, led him to often "put money on it". And, he was almost always right. As a dynamic and kinetic individual he enjoyed and created a full and exciting life. Embracing everything from becoming a pilot, being the captain of his boat, understanding American culture, international business and politics; he was not one to be intimidated by the world. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B Sc in Mechanical Engineering. Married Linda Nanji on December, 1990, and had two loving sons, Michael and Alexander. As the General Manager of MCE (Magnetic Component Engineering, Inc) he refused to compromise-expecting and giving more than most imagine. Great men are made of more than intelligence and hard work, they also need imagination. Chris had all three and was tireless in his engagement. Devoted to his family, work, friends and country, Chris managed to fit more into his life in 50 years than most people ever could. He was a man of his word, and rarely traveled out of the US. When he did leave LA it was to fly his plane to Las Vegas with friends to play as hard as he worked. Chris is survived by his wife, Linda and their two sons, Michael and Alexander. He is also survived by his mother, Amina Nanji; brother, David Nanji; sister, Nafisa Wilkinson; and 5 nieces and nephews. Chris's father is the late Badrudeen Nanji. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make donations to the Peninsula Education Foundation at www.pvpef.org or Chadwick School at www.chadwickschool.org in the name of Michael and Alexander Nanji.
