Dana Le Brown-Hockett was Born to Charlotte McCall and William Goodman in Santa Monica, California on May 16, 1954. Dana passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, May 3, 2014. Dana graduated from North Torrance High School in 1972. While attending North High, Dana met life long friend and future husband William J. Hockett. Bill and Dana were married in Torrance, California on July 27, 1973. Dana enjoyed being a wife for over 40 years to her best friend. During her marriage to Bill, three children were born; Nicole in 1975, Billy in 1977, and Melissa in 1979.

Dana enjoyed being a mother. She was often the team taxi driver and biggest cheerleader. She help lead in the Girl Scouts and was often the team mother. Dana showed unconditional love to her family. She did not hold grudges, and lived by The Golden Rule, do unto other as you wish to be done onto you. Dana treated her children's friends and nieces as her own. The children's friends often called her mom. Dana's children had children of their own; Nicole had Aaron in 1994, Billy had Amanda in 1997, and Melissa had Ashton in 2006 and Nicholas in 2010.Dana loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She cherished her time with them and was very proud of each and everyone of them

Dana worked part time to pay to go to Bryman School to graduate as a Registered Dental Assistant, RDA. Dana worked for Morton L. Klebe for over 35 years. Dana was a people person and enjoyed her work. Not only did she know all her patient by their first names, she knew all of their children's names. She laughed with her patients during good times and consoled them during the bad times. Her patients would often call her just to talk. She began as a Dental Assistant and retired as an Office Manager. She often referred to her coworkers as family members.

Dana lived life to the fullest. Whether she was attending a family reunion in Las Vegas, a trip to New Orleans with Melissa, or to a Palm Springs getaway with Bill, she loved her life. She was kind hearted and God fearing. She was spiritual and loving. She would give the shirt off her back to prevent pain and discomfort to others. She loved unconditionally and completely. She lived for her children and grandchildren. This world was lucky to have such a beautiful soul touch our lives. This world will forever miss you mom. We love you mom.
