Daniel's short life began in San Pedro on November 7, 1956. He passed away in his home in San Pedro on August 18, 2014 at the age of 57. He was a graduate of San Pedro High School, class of 1974. In following his grandfather father, Daniel started working in the heavy construction industry by joining the United Association Local Union 250 as a "Steamfitter Apprentice." He graduated with the highest scholastic honors from a five year training program. Being a member for 39 years, he was honored by the membership of the largest "United Association" local union on the west coast. When they elected him their president. He currently was in his second term when he passed away. Daniel enjoyed his family, music, horse back riding, motorcycles, boating, fishing. Construction work seemed to fit his lifestyle. He was also known for his great sense of humor. As an entrepreneur, his talents also included detailing cars, which he enjoyed doing. Preceded by his mother, Judy; son, Nekolas Mead Fees and survived by his family: Jim step-mom, Nancy Fees; sons, Jason Fees, Alan Fortier, Daniel Fees Jr., Christian Fees; granddaughter, Alanna Fees; grandsons, Jessie Matthew Fortier; siblings, David (Cynthia) Fees Debbie Fees; aunt, Jean Kasiah; uncle aunt, "John" "Denise" Fees; nieces, "Tori," "Julia" "Justina" Fees; cousins, "Terry," ("Louisa") Zuccola and their son, Terry and daughter, Francesca Zuccola, "Marie," "Chris," "Cody" Fees, numerous cousins from San Diego, Oregon, Nevada and many beloved friends.
