Dirk C. Eldredge Obituary
Dirk Chase Eldredge

Born June 30, 1932, passed away peacefully at home on November 7, 2016 with his wife of 60 plus years by his side. Dirk is survived by his wife, Donna, and their two children, Kim (Scott) Gibler and Dirk (Stacy) Eldredge II. Eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers also survive him. Dirk grew up in Glendale, CA, and upon graduation from Glendale High School, spent two years in the Air Force 80th Air Depot Wing. Following his service, he returned to Los Angeles to attend USC on a football scholarship, graduating cum laude. Dirk had a long and successful career with IBM, worked for Governor Ronald Reagan, was an entrepreneur who owned multiple Gold Crown Hallmark retail stores, and authored three books. He was a member of the Round Table of Los Angeles, and eventually founded the Round Table of Orange County.
Dirk was a loving husband, father and brother. He was a good and principled man of strong character and integrity. He was a fighter, a mentor, and a teacher at his core; a true gentleman with a love of the sea and for all that life had to offer. Dirk believed in and lived Ronald Reagan's quote: "There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect." A celebration of Dirk's wonderful life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Rolling Hills Country Club at 12 noon. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits
