Dominick Oliver
Dominick Oliver, a long time resident of Redondo Beach, born April 24, 1924 in West Virginia, passed away to heaven to join his parents and his siblings John, Patsy, Rose and Katherine. Dominick was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Army, decorated for actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations. "Dom" was beloved by many friends and neighbors who enjoyed his joyful and happy attitude. He was always a true gentleman and showed concern and love for others. The entire Oliver family was respected and held in high esteem by everyone who knew them. Dominick was always cheerful with a quick wit, and ready with a witty story of his many experiences. Dom will also be missed by his many friends from "Spires" restaurant in Torrance, which he visited each day, as much for the companionship of the "regulars" as for their food which he enjoyed so much. A Rosary will be Tuesday, May 28 to begin at 7 PM at White and Day Colonial Mortuary, 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday May 29 at 9:30 AM, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1900 S. Prospect, Redondo Beach. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the .
