Donald Dean Brammer

Donald Dean Brammer, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away April 5, 2012, in Prescott, Arizona. He was born in Grand River, Iowa on January 8, 1926. He served honorably in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He then attended and graduated from USC in 1952 with a degree in pharmacy and owned and operated D & B Pharmacy first in Los Angeles and then in the Torrance and Gardena, California areas for thirty-three years. The Los Angeles location was one of the last old-fashioned soda-fountain pharmacies. He was a member of, and served as president of, the South Bay Pharmacists Association for many years. He was also an avid collector of antique automobiles and his 1937 Pierce Arrow V-12 won many awards. He was a member of the Classic Car Club of Southern California and a member and past-president of the Prescott Antique Auto Club. He lived in Southern California until he and his wife retired to Prescott in 1992. He is survived by his wife, Donna; his children, Lynn Van Zandt and Brian Brammer; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Madison Brammer; and his two brothers, Duane and Chuck Brammer. Don's final wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold a private service for the scattering of his ashes. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
