Edith Margaret Nurnberger Obituary
Edith Margaret Nurnberger

Edith Nurnberger, 80, a longtime resident of Southern California, passed away at home on March 13, 2013. She was born in Vallendar, Germany. She had fond memories of her childhood in Germany, riding her bike from town to town and swimming in the Rhine River. In 1952, she moved to Vancouver, Canada seeking adventure. She loved the forests, mountains, and rugged coastline. Stanley Park and Robson Street, with their European feel, were some of her favorite places. She moved to Los Angeles in 1962 and enjoyed working at the Alpine Village for over 30 years. She loved the music, dancing and friends that she made. She loved painting, photography, and traveling. She was vibrant, stylish and always enjoyed the humor in life. She leaves behind son, Roger (Diane) Nurnberger; grandchildren, Ryan Nurnberger and Lauren (Justin) Pruett; brother, Alfred Schuh and many loving friends and relatives. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial reception on March 23rd from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. at the Alpine Village Emerald Room. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
