Eisei Taniguchi passed away of multiple health issues on April 25, 2017. He was 91 years old. Eisei was born and raised in Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii in a family of 10 children. He served in the Military Intelligence Service during World War II as a Japanese language interpreter/translator, serving in the Philippines and in Japan. He earned a degree in business and economics from the University of Hawaii after the war and was a supervising system analyst for L.A. County. Eisei loved to travel, play golf, do crossword puzzles, and watch sports programs on TV. He is survived by his wife Hazel, daughters Joy, Wendy (Steve) Wieser, Lori (Charles) Logston, and grandchildren Cari, Kevin, Katie, and Carson.
