Esther Arredondo Herold Obituary
Esther Arredondo Herold

It is with great sadness that the family of Esther Arredondo Herold announces her passing. Born on November 30, 1952 in San Pedro, CA. to Alex Z. Arredondo and Bertha Ayala Arredondo. Died on April 12, 2012 in Denver, CO due to complications with lupus. Esther attended San Pedro High School, where she was voted by her class as "most likely to succeed". She was awarded the annual academic scholarship by the San Pedro Chaper of Business and Professional Women's Club, allowing Esther to attend UCLA for the first three years of college. She received her BA in mathematics from the University of Wyoming and receiver her master's in computer science from the University of Denver. Her career included a position with Gulf (Chevron) and as computer programmer for Qwest (Century Link). In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and pets, watching football, classic films, and singing along with musicals. She had a strong belief in her children, and encouraged them to pursue their individual interests. Over the past decade she became very passionate about researching genealogy and was a dedicated member of the local Hispanic genealogy society. Lovingly remembered by her husband, James P.; her four children, Josh, Kirsten, Rachael and Joel (all of Colorado); her siblings, Susan Oppenheimer Arthur, Helen Chernow, and Martha (all of California). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lupus Foundation. Further information can be found on the web
