Frank Keefer Snavely

1922 - 2011 Obituary Condolences
Born on the Fourth of July, 1922 in Los Angeles, CA, Frank Keefer Snavely passed peacefully on June 6, 2011 at the age of 88 in San Pedro, CA. We all knew him as Dutch. He was the consummate San Pedro guy, always interested in whatever was happening in his hometown. The day before he passed he took a drive down to Outer Harbor just to see what changes were taking place. He was a licensed plumbing contractor, thoroughly enjoying his work and his customers to his 80th year. He attended Leland Elementary, Dana Jr. High and graduated from San Pedro High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He had many interests and hobbies. He loved watching sports, was an avid golfer and loved to bowl and shoot pool. He was a lifelong member of the Elks in San Pedro. Most of all he loved taking things apart and putting them back together and he was good at it. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Monreal Snavely and his daughter, Linda Rotolo. His beloved son, Gary Snavely predeceased him. He had 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his family with Ruth, Denise Klassy and Danny Monreal, along with their children and grandchildren. His burial will be a private ceremony at sea in the blue Pacific which he loved. Adieu, Dutchie. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
