Frank R. Johnson of Lomita entered into his eternal rest on the morning of April 9, 2014. He is survived by his sister, Carrie, Mary, his devoted wife, his six sons and three daughters. Frank was preceded in death by his oldest child, Robert. Frank graduated From Narbonne High School in Lomita. For nearly 40 years, Frank was a dedicated employee of Southern California Edison, first as a lineman and later as foreman. As a member of the U.S. Army, Frank served in the front lines of the Korean War. He was awarded several medals of honor including the Bronze Star. With his wife Mary of nearly 60 years, he raised their large family. He is most fondly remembered as a true "family man". Frank's children will always remember their Sunday outings with Dad. Frank enjoyed hiking, running and biking. He was notable for his business skills and sense of industry. He was a man of Faith who bore his final illness with patience and humor. There will be a funeral Mass today at 12:00 p.m. at A.M. Gamby Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Green Hills on April 11 after private services. Please sign the guestbook at www.amgamby.com.
