Frank Rodriguez of San Pedro, California age 86 passed away on April 1, 2013. He was born on September 17, 1926 to Ciprano Rodriguez and Margarita Capetillo in Brookston, Texas. He is survived by his sons Patrick, Dennis and Timothy. Daughters Monica and Mary. Daughters in law Linda and Divena. Grand Children Patrick Jr., Tommy, Anita and Great Grand Child Chloe. He served honorably in WWII in the Marine Corps and after the war he moved from his home state Kansas City, Missouri to California in 1959. In California with his wife Esther they raised their children in San Pedro. A devoted father Frank encouraged his children to seek their educations and always provided for them in their endeavors. Frank after retiring in 1989 enjoyed cooking his specialty in pastries, history, reading, bike riding and daily walks around his home in San Pedro. Although transplanted in California he never forgot his home in Kansas City, Missouri where he is survived by his sisters Patricia and her husband Jim Torres and Sister Marie of the Carmelite order. He is preceded by his parents. His wife Esther, their sons Edward (Vietnam War Veteran) and Alfred. His brothers who also served and survived WWII, Anthony (Tony) Air Force, Lupe, Army, and Jesse, Army. Their wives Candie and Lupe. His sister Berta and husband Mede Aguire. Frank was a true example of a father, husband and brother. He never forgot the significance of what life is especially with all his children around him. Frank lived in San Pedro, but his heart was always in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be held today, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary and Vigil service at 7:00 p.m, at McNerney's Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, April 5, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Church followed by interment at Roosevelt Memorial Park.
