Frederick James Goodberry, Jr.

67, of Palos Verdes Peninsula passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2015, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Niagara Falls, New York on March 22, 1947, Fred moved to California with his family in 1954. He was a graduate of Mira Costa High School and California State University, Long Beach. Fred served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict and was stationed in Germany. He had a long aerospace career with Northrop Grumman Corporation spanning 29 years and retiring in 2003 as the Director of Cost Management. Fred's great joy in retirement was traveling with his wife, Sharon, especially cruising to many wonderful places around the world. Fred is preceded in death by his father, Frederick James Goodberry, Sr. and sister, Karen Ann Imai. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Sharon; daughters, Margaret (Chad) Lindsay and Kirsten (John) Carter; stepchildren, Jesse (Andrea) King, Julie King and Joseph King; his mother, Dorothy Goodberry and 12 grandchildren. An outdoor Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am on March 22, 2015, at the Memorial Day Site located in Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. Shading will be limited. As a tribute to Fred's casual personality and love for the tropics, business smart tropical wear is welcomed (men-"Tommy Bahama" style collared shirts and slacks).
