Gary Lee Le Clerk Obituary
Our beloved husband and son passed away at Torrance Memorial Hospital on December 17, 2010 from complications of a stroke. Gary was born in Ventura, California on February 23, 1940 and spent most of his life in Southern California. He graduated from Hollywood High School; then served in the Army for three years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Genie Le Clerk; mother, Nadine Hawk (Palm Springs); aunt, Pearl Martin (Palm Springs); cousin, Norma Lavery (Provo, Utah); and many long time friends including, Jim Guy of Torrance and Walter McKenry of Northern California. Gary was an avid surfer and loved the ocean. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time at the Redondo Beach Pier soaking up the sun and reminiscing with all the boys who he thought very highly of. He was also a member of the Prospectors Motorcycle Club and had many good memories of his rides in the desert with fellow club members. Gary will be cremated at Roosevelt Memorial Park in Gardena. His ashes will be scattered at sea at a private family service at a later date. Donations may be made to a hospice organization of your choice. Walter, he is with Paul and the Lord, at peace and happy now.
