Gregory Harold Pearson sadly passed away at Torrance Memorial Hospital with his wife, daughter, and son by his side. He was born on January 20, 1947 in Wyandotte, MI to Harold and Chesteria Pearson (nee Grabowski). He is survived by his wife, Minghui Pearson; his two daughters, Murasaki J. Schneider of San Rafael, CA and Aya J. Deam of South Pasadena, CA, and two sons, Ken J. Pearson of Pasadena, CA and Ian K. Pearson of Los Angeles, CA. Gregory Pearson is also survived by his sister, Dolores Pearson of Richmond, CA, and two brothers, Douglas Pearson of Roseville, MI and Patrick Pearson of Dublin, Ohio.

Gregory Pearson served in the U.S. Navy in the 1960s and was stationed at Okinawa, Japan where he discovered a love and interest in Japanese culture. After serving in the military, he returned to Japan to study East Asian Culture at Sophia University in Tokyo where he earned a Master's Degree and also became a fluent speaker of Japanese. Although his life was unexpectedly cut short, Gregory Pearson was a well traveled man who lived life to the absolute fullest. He was a goofy Dad who loved being surrounded by children and will be greatly missed by his friends and family. His ashes will spend time with his son and daughter and will eventually go with his wife back to his home in Leshan, China where he lived for several of his last remaining years.
