Guillermina Lowi Obituary
At 4:45PM on Friday, April 6, 2012, Guillermina (Mina) Gerardo de Lowi, age 83, passed away peacefully after a bravely born and very long battle with cancer. Born February 3, 1929 in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico, Mina was a resident of San Pedro for 50 years. Known as the "Queen of Sonora" to those around her, she was famous for her cooking, hospitality and entertaining, and for taking in stray kids from San Pedro and loving them like her own. Mina will be missed by those who survive her: her husband, Alvin Lowi, Jr.; children, David Arthur Lowi, Rosamina Lowi (Leonard), E.V. Lowi (Victor) and Alvin Lowi lll (Carolyn); her 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildre;, two sisters; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery. Mina, ahora estas en el lugar mejor. Descanse en paz.
