Harry Edward Lathrop, Jr passed peacefully in his sleep at home in Wilderville, Oregon on Saturday, February 7, 2015. He was a kind, gentle and adventurous soul who lived a long and amazing life. He was a fisherman, a longshoreman, and a shipbuilder. His hobbies included wood-working, motorcycles, beach combing and exploring.Harry was born on Saturday, January 31, 1931 in Lassen County, California to Harry and Marietta Lathrop. He was blessed with 4 brothers, 1 sister, 3 sons and 5 daughters, 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He shares his birthday with his grandson, Tyler J. Langhoff. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Payne and Earl Lathrop, his sister, Laura Lathrop and is survived by his two brothers, Frank (Libby) Lathrop of Cambria and Ronald Lathrop of Redondo Beach. Children and grandchildren, Larry (Penny) Lathrop of Henderson, Nevada; Dean (Theresa Wagner) Lathrop of Kansas City, Missouri; Jana Marie (Kevin) Langhoff, Alyssa and Tyler of Medford,Oregon; Shaneil (Josh) Gibson, Chris, Seth, Ethan, Ryan, Tyler of The Woodlands, Texas; April (Chris) Staten, Todd, Destany and Nickolas of Wilderville, Oregon; Ryan Lathrop, Jaden and Haylee of Big Bear, California; Tonya Lathrop, Lacy, Michael and Alan of Big Bear, California. Memorial Service (open to all,) will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 2:30pm by the Korean Friendship Bell in Angel's Gate Park, 3601 S Gaffey St, San Pedro, CA 90731.
