Irene Brandt

1950 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Irene Brandt left the earth on August 3, 2018 to rejoin her husband Michael Brandt to be reunited as love, energy and light once again. Irene entered the world as a bonded twin with her loving sister Norine. Born, raised and resident of San Pedro she graduated from San Pedro High School in 1968. Afterwards she worked for Kaiser Permanente for 25 plus years. Irene was the medical advocate for all family members and fought strongly for her husband who battled cancer. During her tenure at Kaiser she worked in multiple departments including ENT, Eurology, ER and Pre-Op. After retirement she worked part time for ILWU, Local 63 Office Clerical Union. Irene loved nature and the world we live in. She was was the most wonderful mother and grandmother that anyone could ask for. She also extended this love to those she met and who came within her path. We were taught by her to love with all of our hearts open and to be kind through action. Irene is the example to embrace life and every experience in its entirety. She was an angel who truly found bliss in helping others. Irene is a daughter, a sister, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother and a wife and was astounding in all these roles. Irene is survived by her daughters, Crystol and Carlee, grandchildren Caymon Brandt-Coates, Kai Brandt-Coates, Michael Kozachenko, Kierin Kozachenko and Cooper Brandt, by her mother Lucy Connelly, her siblings Tony (spouse Teresa), Rose (spouse Jim), Linda (spouse Gary), her twin sister Norine (spouse Norman). She is also survived by her mother in law Bessie Brandt and Chris Brandt (spouse Diane), her Aunt Rachel (spouse Ross), Uncle Abel (spouse Carol) and her dear friend Julie. Preceded by her father Antonio Connelly, husband Michael Brandt and niece Melinda Baker.Services to be held August 16, 2018 at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church, 1292 West Santa Cruz St, San Pedro, CA 90732.
