Jacqueline Curry Law Obituary
Jacqueline Curry Law

Jacqueline "Jackie" Law was born December 4, 1922, and passed to her final resting place on June 4, 2014. The only child of Earl and Eleanor Curry, she grew up in Southern California and loved time spent at the beach and the Sierra mountains. As a young woman she volunteered for the war effort by serving in the Panama Canal Zone as a secretary in the civil service. There she met her husband, Russell Law, a young Naval officer. Later they traveled the world together and raised two children, Sheri (McHale Moody) and Jeffrey. After living in Hawaii, Japan, Alaska, Northern California and Virginia, they settled in San Pedro in 1962. Following her husband's death in 1971, Jackie continued to lead an active life and started investing in real estate doing "fixer-uppers." She had many close friends and she cherished those relationships...Joe Foltman (28 years) and Leon Denham from Wyoming (16 years) both of whom adored her, and both of whom she outlived. To know Jackie was a pleasure and an honor.

Jackie was proud of her daughter, Sheri who has built a successful career in local real estate; son, Jeffery who has sailed the world crewing many fine wooden ships and granddaughter, Summer Ramirez, who is a licensed nurse. She is also survived by her great grandson, Brandon Robberstad; Bill and Val Norrington, Linda Dodson Norrington, Gael and Paige Norrington Brownton, Dale and Dawn Norrington and her two dearest girlfriends Doris Krueger and Doris Powers.

A "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held in her honor on June 28th at the San Pedro home of her daughter and her ashes will later be spread at sea in her beloved State of Hawaii. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in her name to the City of Hope for breast cancer research.

Aloha...a hui hou kakou (until we meet again)
