Janice Carol (Moline) Ball Obituary
Janice Carol (Moline) Ball

Janice Carol (Moline) Ball, 66, died January 31, 2012, with her family at her side, in Redondo Beach, CA. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Orren and Carol Moline on November 6, 1945. She was a graduate of Cal State University Dominguez Hills, and earned a master's degree in human services from Loyola Marymount University. Jan's passions in life included coordinating and fundraising for the Mammograms and Manicures program at El Camino College, which provided mammograms to low-income women, a lifetime of teaching at all levels from preschool through college as well as Sunday school, and mentoring young Christian women through her faith and fellowship at her church. She was also instrumental in expanding the tutor program at El Camino, which helped countless students, and previously developed the Alternative Curriculum Education program (ACE) at Redondo Union High School. Her life was dedicated to helping others and is a shining example of the type of person who makes the world a better place to live. Jan fought courageously against cancer for 12 years. She is loved by and will be missed by many, especially her husband, Jim, and sons, Jeff and Jon. Additionally her daughter-in-law, Nina, grandson, Andrew, sister, Joyce and brothers, Eric and Jere', and many sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins will feel her absence. In lieu of flowers, the family would gratefully request donations be made to the Revlon Breast Cancer Fund. A memorial service will be held for Janice at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Beach Cities Christian Fellowship, 730 11th St. in Hermosa Beach.
