Jesus Cabusas Deiparine Obituary
Jesus Cabusas Deiparine passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2011. Jesus "Jesse" was born on March 10, 1933 in Cebu, Philippines. In high school he participated in sports such as basketball and swimming. He attended the University of San Carlos where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He was the first of his family to immigrate to the United States in 1961 where he settled in Los Angeles. There, he met his wife, Louise "Bonnie" and raised their three children in Harbor City. Jesse held a variety of jobs, but was most happy working as a Yellow Cab Taxi Driver for over 15 years. His enjoyments in life were spending time with family and friends, traveling, walking, reading, and going to casinos. His biggest passion was watching sports, especially his beloved Dodgers. He was also active in the Cebu Brotherhood Club for St. Columban Church in Los Angeles. Jesse is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie and is survived by his three children, Brenda, Cecilia, Gerard (wife Joy); and his granddaughter, Paige. He also leaves behind his siblings, Alma, Nenita, Romeo and many relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. A viewing will be held at Green Hills Mortuary, 27501 South Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 4pm to 8pm with Rosary at 6pm. The funeral service will be at Nativity Catholic Church, 1447 Engracia Ave., Torrance, CA on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 9:30am with burial to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.
