John Raymond Broderick Obituary
Better known as "Big Bad John", died peacefully at his home Saturday, February 12, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna; daughter, Kathleen Doran (Stephen); twin sons, Steven and Gregory (Heather); and 9 grandchildren, Noah, Heather, John, Mike, Peter, Billy, Colleen, Kyle and Riley; one great grandchild, Bella...and his dog, Dempsey (who was by his side at his death). John grew up in Beverly Hills, received a full scholarship to his beloved Stanford University, where he became a proud member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, and played tackle on the 1951 Rose Bowl team. He went to UCLA Law School, where he met the love his his life, the Homecoming Queen, Donna. After graduating, he served in the United States Marine Corps and graduated first in his class at the Navel School of Justice. He practiced law for many years, was president of Arena USA, and had many accomplishments in his 79 years...but what he loved...was being on his boat, The Irish Ayes, with his family, hunting, fishing, reading the Wall Street Journal with his dog, and watching Stanford University play football! He left an indelible mark on all of us, and he will be greatly missed. Private services were held. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
