John V. Juge Jr. Obituary
John went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2011. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 5, 1931 to Jules and Rosalie Juge. John and his family moved to Los Angeles when he was just 4 years old. In 1950, John graduated from Manual Arts High School and entered the Army, where he served as a mess sergeant until 1954. While still in uniform John met the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Agnes Anne Morris. They were married in 1954 and raised their family in Torrance, California. In the following years, John went on to become a well-known and respected Southern California general contractor. Working with his brothers, John built many wonderful schools for the children of the Los Angeles Unified School District. John is survived by his wife, Agnes and five sons: John, Jr. (Gloria), Bryant (Pam), Clark, Mike, and Kenny (Karen). John is also loved and remembered by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and his brother, James "Butch" Juge (Blanche), as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. John's passions included spending time with his family and watching USC football. He was proud and devoted to both (many thanks to Pete Carroll for his ongoing concern for Pops). He also enjoyed cooking and visiting the California's Gold Country. John will be missed by the many whose lives he touched. Services will be on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 450 South Stage Coach Lane, Fallbrook, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in John's name to Fallbrook Hospice, 521 East Elder Street, Fallbrook, CA 92028. Their loving care and commitment was truly appreciated.
