Loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Coach and Friend.

Jose Tony Barba was born on March 20, 1956 in Aguas Calientes, Mexico and moved to the South Bay Area (Torrance, Carson and Gardena, native) when he was approximately 2 to 4 years old. He passed away on November 22, 2014, surrounded by his family at 8am. He is an alumni of Carson High School and Stephen M. White, in Carson. Tony was a coach to many, including Serra High girl's softball and many Carson Park players. He was a Cursillo Member and a devoted St. Anthony of Padua Parishioner.

He is survived by his loving wife, Miriam Barba; children, Lolita Salazar (husband, Hernaldo), Joe A. Barba, Peter Barba (wife, Gaby), Mary Lopez (husband, Alfonso), Emanuel M. Barba, Therese Garcia (husband, Geovani), Christine Barba, John Barba, Sarah and Diana Barba; grandchildren, Klarisa and Katrina Salazar, Joseph Barba, Aiden and Malia Lopez, and Leah Barba; his mother, Maria Dolores Barba; brothers, Rudy Barba (wife, Nancy and their sons, Rudy Jr., Bryan and Steven) and Gerardo Barba (son, Jared); sisters, Lolita Barba (predeceased), Grace Barba, Silvia Barba (children, Marc, Lydia and Mario), Martha Isabel Ruiz-Roque, and Alicia Isabel Ruiz-Roque.
