September 11, 1928 - February 19, 2012

Joseph was born to immigrant parents in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After serving in the Army at Fort Ord near Monterey, California, he returned to Wisconsin where he married his wife Betty Jane. In 1952, they relocated to California. Joseph became employed with North American Aviation in El Segundo and moved to Torrance in 1954 where he resided until his death. He enjoyed airplanes and aviation and took his children to many airshows. He also enjoyed league bowling, taking immaculate care of his home and vacationing at the Lawrence Welk Resort in Escondido. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, and daughter Carrie Narr. He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Curtis and Craig; daughter, Cindy (Dennis-Riggs); 9 grandchildren, Ashlee, Jeffrey, Cherise, Craig Jr., Kimberly, Kristin, AJ, Chelsie, Trevor; 2 great grandchildren, Sophie and Max; brothers, Marty and Frank; and sisters, Marge (Olwig), Dorothy (Bindl) and Marilyn (Finmann). A mass will be held at St. Lawrence Martyr Church on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00am with reception immediately following at his home. Any donations may be made to St. Lawrence Martyr Church.
