Joy Bailey Obituary
Joy Margaret Bailey

Born: March 28, 1975 - Passed: July 17, 2017 of unknown causes in Torrance, CA.

Joy is survived by her husband Joe, daughter Christy, and son Chad; her parents Roy and Debi Dickerson, sister Sarah (Brant) Rowe, brothers Ryan and Kasey Dickerson, brother-in-law George Bailey, sister-in-law Gina Bailey Wilson; her grandfather Ralph Gonzales, in addition to her aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephews.

Joy graduated from Twin Falls High School after her family moved to Idaho where she met and married the love of her life Joe. Shortly thereafter in 1996 the Baileys moved to Torrance where they have raised their children.

An avid sports woman, Joy loved to play softball, participate in paintball games, and go to the shooting range. Over the last 20 years, Joy played on many women's and co-ed softball teams where she has made many wonderful friends. She totally threw herself into the game, charged through every play, not afraid to take out anyone blocking the plate.

Joy also loved her L.A. sports teams, cheering loudly for her Dodgers, Angels, Kings, Lakers and Raiders (even though "they defected to Oakland").

Joy and family were active members of Torrance First Baptist Church.

A softball tournament In Memory of Joy will be held Aug. 19th at Wilson Park 3:30pm in Torrance, CA. Please contact Brad or Alannah 310-951-9012.

A viewing will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, July 28, at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions, 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 29th 10:00am at King's Harbor Church in Torrance, CA to celebrate her life and home going.
